Flap Disc
Flap Discs 115 mm & 125 mm for Stainless Steel, INOX, Steel and Metal
Flap discs are essential tools for metalworking, stainless steel finishing, fabrication, steel construction, workshops, construction and industry. They combine the benefits of fiber discs and grinding discs in one and provide an efficient, versatile solution for all common grinding tasks with an angle grinder.
With a flap disc you can grind, deburr, chamfer, smooth weld seams, clean surfaces and perform fine finishing. They deliver excellent results on stainless steel (INOX, VA, V2A) as well as on steel, iron and metal.
We exclusively supply the common sizes 115 mm and 125 mm, suitable for all standard angle grinders with 22.23 mm bore.
Flap Discs by Grain Type
Zirconia (blue) – for Stainless Steel & INOX
- Long service life – very durable on hard materials
- High material removal – ideal for weld seams and stainless constructions
- Clean finish – prevents overheating and discoloration
- Versatile – perfect for stainless railings, machine building and tank construction
Aluminium Oxide (red/brown) – for Steel, Iron & Metal
- Excellent price-performance ratio – ideal for daily use
- Wide application range – from heavy grinding to deburring
- Flexible – suitable for workshops, metal fabrication and assembly
Non-Woven Flap Discs (Fleece Flap Discs) – for Surface Finish & Fine Grinding
In addition to classic abrasive flap discs, we also offer non-woven flap discs. These are designed for surface finishing and fine work.
Our non-woven flap discs are available in:
- coarse – for strong removal, e.g. rust or weld seam cleaning
- medium – for general cleaning, matting and preparation
- fine – for fine finishing, structuring and pre-polishing
Grit Sizes and Performance
- K40 – coarse, for high material removal
- K60 – medium grit, universal use
- K80 – finer, for surface preparation
- K120 – very fine, for finishing work
Typical Applications
- Stainless steel / INOX / VA / V2A – clean grinding without corrosion
- Steel & iron – universal use in workshops and fabrication
- Metal in general – for deburring, chamfering and cleaning
- Wood – can be worked with aluminium oxide discs
- Weld seams – fast and even smoothing
- Surface finishing – with non-woven flap discs for matting and polishing
Safety When Working with Flap Discs
- Safety goggles against sparks
- Protective gloves for secure grip
- Hearing protection for extended grinding
- Dust mask for intensive work
